I didn't receive the screenshot, but I suspect there is a specific VMware
driver for the keyboard that is not being loaded.  Did it install VMware
Tools as part of the conversion?

I vaguely remember this being an issue at one point, if I had multiple
keyboard profiles installed on the host:
