Hello NLUG, Before trying to install Ubuntu LTS 18.04.2 as a dual boot on a Win7 machine, I cloned the Win7 system drive with Clonezilla, which included an option to verify clone for restoreability- good option.
(Probably) Something (I did) hung up during 18.04.2 install; maybe I should try18.04.1 again . I didn't know what to do besides shut it down, and not surprisingly, Win7 would not reboot. This was my first restore from cloned image- the restore seemed easier than the cloning process. Thanks to NLUG and Howard for recommending Clonezilla- I've been attending NLUG for 6 years, but only using Linux for 6 months and it's saved in total at least $13,500 and some major stressful headaches - good to be free from Microsoft penitentiary. -- -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "NLUG" group.
