So so many that could have made the list and certainly should be in the top 50. Pipe command? I remember when memory was an expensive commodity and you lived and died by free. Head, tail, du, dh, find, xargs and even basic for loops - all basic toolbox items. Hopefully sed and awk made the top 50.
