Hello Jerry,

Take a look at what you want to do.  A Raspberry Pi is more than
powerful enough for lots of stuff.   You can add a USB drive for lots of
storage.  If your going to do stuff like SDR, then you need a much more
powerful system.  Consider what you need for reliability.  If it is
going to be something you might use from a remote location, you might
want to have a UPS and use a fairly robust desktop.  Consider what the
power requirements are going to be, what you use for a display (do you
run two or more?).  How much noise can you tolerate (would an old used
desktop do the job?).

Speaking of SDR... I will put something on the list in a few minutes.
