My current trial and error experiments re Linux revolve around MythTV video transcoding. The perfect end game would be to flag start/stop/commercials on a front-end Windows box (maybe unrealistic), transcode the cut video on my Linux Myth box, and watch at leisure on Roku. If anyone is an expert, I'm all ears! :)
