Full-time, permanent position
Nashville, TN

immediate need of a Systems/Network Engineer to perform a wide range of
Systems/Network projects for our client base.

What You Will Be Doing
Technical
- Install and configure and troubleshoot new host servers and supporting
network equipment as well as install and configure business Internet
connectivity, WAN technologies, remote access and VPNs, Virtual Machines,
Telephony and VOIP, Active Directory/ GPO, Firewalls, Switches, etc.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot the Microsoft series of operating
systems and server solutions (Exchange, SQL, Terminal Services (RDS), IIS,)
- Participate as an escalation point of a rotating On Call system.
General
- Prioritize and work on multiple issues concurrently and deliver
measurable results under designated deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Ensure all processes and procedures are completed, quality standards are met.
- Understand company capabilities and services, and be able to effectively
communicate to all management levels within the customer organization
What You Need for this Position
Generally Speaking you should have:
- knowledge of the inter-dependencies between applications and systems
- Strong understanding of routing concepts, network and port address
translation, and firewall rules
- Familiarity with backup and disaster recovery and business continuity
methodology
Experience/Education requirements:
- A degree or diploma in Computer Science, Management Information Systems
or related field is desired
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in technical support with strong
technical problem diagnosis skills
- Industry Certifications, such as Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer
(MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) and/or VMware Certified
Professional (VCP)
- Previous consulting experience is highly preferred
Technology Experience:
- Windows Operating Systems
- Windows Server technologies (Exchange, Terminal Services/RDS, Active
Directory)
- Virtualization troubleshooting and support (VMware preferred), including
SAN experience Firewalls/VPNs (Juniper and Fortinet products are a plus)
- Advanced network troubleshooting
- Hardware / software troubleshooting
- IP Telephony knowledge is an asset (Cisco, ShoreTel)
- Microsoft Office applications
