To clarify NLUG at PhreakNIC a bit:

NLUG will have a conference room at the Maxwell House throughout the
convention; you're free to do anything you want with it.

There are two rooms to choose from - the International or the Forum; the only
difference between them is that the Forum can be split into two smaller rooms,
if desired.

Room dimensions: 39' (or 19.5' if split) by 27', 10' high ceiling. Each room
will seat 100 people theater style or 70 classroom style (half those numbers if
split).

We'll have the International and Forum rooms from 8:00am, Thursday, October
30th through 11:59pm, Sunday, November 2nd (through PhreakNIC 18 will
officially end by 5:00pm on Sunday; there will be a post-con catered "thank
you" dinner at 6:00pm for staff/guests/attendees still onsite).

If you want, you can treat this as an NLUG convention inside PhreakNIC 18, with
most of the logistics & expense handled by PhreakNIC/Nashville2600. Do a 4-day
installfest, teach classes, hold workshops, invite speakers, do LPI & other
certifications, etc.

If you invite a speaker (or speakers) who need more space than the
International or Forum can provide, we also have all three ballroom at the
Maxwell House. Dimensions & capacities for the ballroom(s):

1 ballroom: 32' by 76', 16' high ceiling; seats 300 people theater style, 175
classroom style
2 ballrooms: 64' by 76', 16' high ceiling; seats 700 people theater style, 375
classroom style
all 3 ballrooms: 98' by 76', 16' high ceiling; seats 1000 people theater style,
600 classroom style

The current plan is to use one ballroom for talks, a second for workshops /
demos / gaming / etc, and the third for vendors. We'll be more than happy to
make changes to that plan for any Big Names that NLUG may land.

Vendors, sponsors & generally sellin' stuff: You need to rent "exhibit space"
from the hotel via PhreakNIC. Booths & "table tops" (ie - folding tables with
your stuff on' em) are available at reasonable rates; we'll charge you exactly
what the hotel charges us (which is in the $35 to $80 per day range, depending
on what you want, and half that price for Sunday). Any sponsors who throw a big
enough check at PhreakNIC will of course get their exhibit space fees and
membership badges comped. Contact me offlist if you want more info.

So, NLUG President, VP, and members - what's your plan?
