I live in Texas. I have a friend in Brownsville, TN, who is disabled and wants to run Linux on his computer. He uses his computer mostly for gaming and browsing. He is currently running a Windows platform. I am reluctant to try to help him install, eve Ubuntu, over the phone. Does anyone know of anyone near him that would be willing to visit with him and help him get linux up and running? (Will need to take iso with you. If he installs Unbuntu I can probably help him with that over phone and remote sharing. He has huge medical bills and will not be able to pay for this help.)
Thanks for your time and consideration. BTW, I belong to the NTLUG and we have an "install fest" once a month preceding the main meeting where people can bring their computers and get free help with the installation of Linux.
