I backed up my 12.04 system and clean installed 13.10 today. I was finally able to get 64-bit Java + Eclipse + Android going. Eclipse is noticeably faster than before. It's only a few seconds to push a new Android build to a phone now. Much time will be saved going forward. w0oh0o!
