Hello Rick,

>check the httpd.conf for these:
>----------8<------------------------
>LoadModule php5_module modules/libphp5.so

Unfortunately, for some reason this file is not on my machine. Is there some
magic RPM where it is hidden? I installed PHP5 as far as I could find the
RPMs...

>maybe do some sanity checking:
>for config file syntax,
>$ /usr/bin/httpd -t

[EMAIL PROTECTED] conf]# httpd -t
Syntax error on line 244 of /etc/httpd/conf/httpd.conf:
Cannot load /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5.so into
server: /etc/httpd/modules/libphp5.so: cannot open shared object file:
No such file or directory

Alas...

If there is something else I can try, I am listening...
Compiling things by hand is an option of course, but that would be a bit
awkward if there is something called RPMs...

Thank you for the help!

Paul
