They have HTB traffic control installed and running. However, when HTB traffic shaping is on and the main device (Yukon gigabit adapter) is in use, the system just hangs up after some days of uptime (varies from 6 to 15 days). The system doesn't react to anything -- there's anly blank screen, ctrl+alt+del doesn't work, just the reset button solves the problem. However, when I turn off the HTB traffic shaper, or set the shaper to work on another device, the problem dissapears, so this is something related to HTB and Yukon gigabit device. The same is on both servers. My traffic shaper script is below: #!/bin/sh stopas() { tc qdisc del dev eth1 root; if [[ -f /tmp/tmp.subnets ]]; then rm -f /tmp/tmp.subnets echo sustabdyta fi } startas() { tc qdisc add dev eth0 root handle 1: htb default 10 r2q 10 tc class add dev eth0 parent 1: classid 1:1 htb rate 99Mbit burst 50k mtu 16400 quantum 1280000 tc class add dev eth0 parent 1:1 classid 1:10 htb rate 99Mbit burst 15k prio 1 mtu 16400 quantum 1280000 tc qdisc add dev eth0 parent 1:10 handle 10: sfq perturb 10 cat /etc/init.d/subnets | sed 's/#.*//g' > /tmp/tmp.subnets for i in `cat /tmp/tmp.subnets | awk '{print $1}'| sort -d | uniq`; do if [[ $i -gt "15000" ]]; then tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:$i htb rate `echo $i`kbit burst 50k prio 2 quantum 10000 else if [[ "123" -gt "$i" ]]; then tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:$i htb rate `echo $i`kbit burst 50k prio 2 quantum 1500 else tc class add dev eth1 parent 1:1 classid 1:$i htb rate `echo $i`kbit burst 50k prio 2 fi fi tc qdisc add dev eth1 parent 1:$i handle $i: sfq perturb 10 done while read greitis subnetas do tc filter add dev eth1 parent 1: protocol ip u32 match ip dst $subnetas flowid 1:$greitis; done < /tmp/tmp.subnets echo paleista } if [[ $1 = "stop" ]]; then stopas else if [[ $1 = "restart" ]]; then stopas startas else startas fi fi Steps to reproduce: enable the Yukon device, start the shaping, let the users download and wait 7-15 days and the system will hang up without a notice. ------- You are receiving this mail because: ------- You are on the CC list for the bug, or are watching someone who is. - To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe netdev" in the body of a message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html
