Sometimes clever device driver programmers can eliminate some
ioread operations :-)

It is very useful, thanks for this work actually.

Do not interpret my silence on these patchs as disapproval,
I am simply wrapped up in fixing IPSEC and other bugs first.

I will come back to review at some point, it sits safely in
my inbox, do not worry :-)
