Why do I get the feeling that these kinds of deployments (like Ello) are all about 'branding', marketing, and social-coolness-hipster-ladder-climbing? I get tired of the Red-Herring-on-steroids interfaces, the distinctly hollow-sounding ethical tweaks, and 'forward-looking' Darwinian spins.
