Last weekend saw my band playing in dear old Denmark St, West End. The former 12 Bar Club newly rebranded The Forge, Is a very cool space, just about intimate enough for the trio and the material we deliver. The blacksmith's forge preserved in the structure of the wall, recalls my grandfather's smithy in Westmorland, where I grew up. I can still hear the clang of horseshoes beaten across an anvil.
