CCNet is really designed for unattended builds. If no one is attending the build (sitting at the console of the machine where ccnet is running) then who is going to put in the credentials when Nant prompts for them?

I should clarify further. The source code will be stored on an SVN repository so ideally I wanted to use CCNet force build to connect to the SVN repository, checkout files locally, then automatically run the NAnt build file, which compiles and deploys all compiled files to a desired environment. The reason I want to use CCNet is it is already in use within the organisation for .NET software development and NAnt does not natively support interfacing with SVN. Is there really no way for CCNet to pass control to NAnt for prompting user credentials? I've posted the same question on the CCNet user mailing list and will hopefully get an answer there. If not, I guess I will look into using the custom SVN tasks for NAnt from http://nantcontrib.sourceforge.net/ though this solution is a little less ideal. CCNet gives you a nice interface to start the build, but it sounds like you want it to prompt the DBA for credentials which you are unlikely to achieve. I would recommend having the DBA simply run NAnt from a command line, then your script will work (as you've tested). If you need to run it on a different machine than the one the DBA is using, PSExec in PSTools will do the trick. Hope that helps. --- Chris. The only reason for this I can think of is that when CCNet calls the NAnt script, it is not sure how to pass the C# script calls to the System.Console class to the commandline. I'm not sure how to do this though. I've also been playing around with the idea of the C# script opening a new instance of cmd.exe and then trying to execute the remainder of the script.
