Funnily enough, there have been some questions on things such as assembly versioning, db integration and code generation in recent days on this list and the ccnet list. I'm not a very good self-publicist so I haven't mentioned but seeing as someone else did... :) BTW (and only slightly OT) - I haven't seen many responses to the thread on DB integration with DBGhost (from Ryan and Christian) but that looks like a great piece of work. In the book I make some custom tasks for RedGate SQL Compare and so on, but this seems to be taking things on a step. Great work guys. Finally - pondering the threads on MSBuild and satisfying some thoughts on NAnt - would anyone be interested in building a design surface (or UI) for NAnt? I figured you could store additional attributes against tasks (such as x y positioning and iconics) and then transform to a regular NAnt script for running. A workflow designer type thing? I think that one of the barriers to entry on NAnt et al. is the lack of 'visual representation' for a newbie. It's one up on MSBuild too. I haven't thought through the full ins and outs of the dependency mappings and so on, but maybe it could work. Has it been tried before?
