Thomas,

I'm not yet sure on what approach we'll take here.

First of all, the <solution> task allows for a little more flexibility than
VS.NET (explicitly specify list of projects, exclude certain projects,
override output dir, ....). Second, in the end we want to support .NET 2.0 /
VS.NET 2005 solutions on Mono (Window and Linux), and since there's no
MSBuild (and definitely no VS.NET) there, we might not want to delegate /
route the actual building of the solution to MSBuild.
If there's no VS.Net, how often would there be a solution file? If someone is developing for both platforms, are there IDEs that work on both? If so, that would be a better approach.

Gary
