Thanks for the heads-up John.  Initially I thought deprecating <ifnot>
didn't seem right (weird looking test conditions)...but then I found
an example (in file::exists function docs) that showed you could do
<if test="${not ...}" and that looks even cleaner than <ifnot>.

FWIW, the <if> docs also has examples to some deprecated attributes.

Also, can I ask how did you notice this deprecation?  
(I couldn't see it in the nightly readme.html)
