I do agree. I'm even comfortable, not to say advocating, with the
virtualization of build server (by using VirtualPC or similar
software), so the build server is just replicable and can almost
instantly be backed up or moved, or clusterable to scale even better
at the enterprise level.

The build server is a strategic asset of the software production line.
