Hi Paul,

My book Expert .Net Delivery with NAnt and CruiseControl.NET (http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/detail/-/1590594851) covers this in some depth in chapter 8
Luckily you don't necessarily need to fork out for it as there is a sample chapter covering database stuff on the Apress site (http://www.apress.com/book/bookDisplay.html?bID=430)

I use RedGate SQL Tools and automate them under NAnt to achieve the effect you want and also to do some other bits and pieces.
I've seen other tutorials for similar work - if you just want the schema then you can manage without a tool - but you'll probably find, like me, that the situation quickly becomes complex and you'll want to do a bit more with databases such as actual integration between instances.

Hope it is of some help, let me know either way!

Best,

Marc

Subject: [Nant-users] Sql Script

Hi all,

Is it possible to generate the SQL script for a given db, that is the db schema and the stored procedures etc.

Thanks

Paul
