Brian, Sometimes system error messages are generic to the point of being useless. The "file already exists" may be actually indicating something else.
Can you do the move manually from the command line? Does the destination directory aleady exist? (It probably needs to be there.) Is the file it is trying to overwrite write protected? Is the file it is trying to overwrite in use by someone else?
