I am making a generic build file that depends on the ability to install and uninstall assemblies from the GAC via wildcards. It appears the new assemblies list and assembly types do not support wildcards. This is critical for publisher policy files since you have no idea how many policy files exists for a single namespace, much less what their names are. It should be easy enough to use gacutil /l to get the list of items in the GAC and then pattern match it to the pattern supplied in the name attribute of the assembly and then remove each match.
