Hi Kevin and All, I think adding a cvspass task might make sense just for the reason that it is not really accessible or needed for all protocols. For instance using ssh (ext protocol) there is no way to redirect standard input on ssh to input a password. Furthermore sspi does not require a password. So the field is made a little more confusing as it is not always accessible.
Based on the input (thanks!) I think it might make sense to remove (by remove I mean deprecate for now, remove in a future release) the field and create a cvspass task that will add the appropriate log entries to a .cvspass file, similar to ant. The <cvs /> tasks in NAnt already take an optional passfile attribute that allows you to specify/ override the location of a cvspass file so that is covered. Things are a little busy so it might be a few days until I can get around to it but I have added this to the ticket that Merrill created (thanks!) so it doesn't get missed. If there are any objections/ additions please let me know.
