> I realize this has been put on the floor before, but is there a concensus as to some target dates for completing a next release? We don't want to put out a release that would contain new features that haven't been completely finalized yet (eg. we still need to discuss/work on implicit/explicit conversions for our expression support). >There seems to be a significant amount left in the 0.8.x task list, but I would propose that between bug fixes, task updates, and expressions a release is within >sight. 0.8.5 doesn't necessarily need to be the last 0.8 release anyways. I agree that not every item on the release plan for 0.8x need to be implemented in the 0.85 release. I'll have a look shortly and discuss it with other contributors ... > From the peanut gallary: what's with the switch from 0.8.x to 0.84 in the first place - that always bothered me. Its more common to increment the minor version for minor releases (strange, is it ;-)), and that way we can use the build number to store the date on which NAnt was built (which is useful for the nightly builds) ...
