Hi Steve, The short answer is that people seem to be busy, and therefore there is no immediate plan for a release. This means that a release may be a while off. I think, based on the feedback we have from our nightly builds, that we should probably put out a beta 1 of .85. This could be, for all extents and purposes, the next nightly build. In order to move forward on the release cycle we need (as a community) to come to consensus of what needs to be finished, and then get it finished for the release.
If you want to be involved in any of this work, or organization, starting this discussion of what needs to get done for the next release would be great. Please start that type of discussion on the development list tho.
