Two questions folks: 1- Is there any benefits from compiling the source code and not using the assemblies provided?
2- I tried compiling in VS framework 1.1, it does not work, I fixed all refrences and no good. I also tried compiling using the supplied build scripts but they failed too. I even tried compiling the projects one by one, and still no good. Below is the output from compiling the nant.console, what is the order in which the projects should be compiled in? F:\Work\Monster.com\nAnt\src\NAnt.Console>nant - D:build.dir=f:\F:\Work\Monster.com \nAnt\bin2-debug -f:NAnt.Console.build NAnt 0.84 (Build 0.84.1455.0; net-1.0.win32; release; 12/26/2003) Copyright (C) 2001-2003 Gerry Shaw http://nant.sourceforge.net Buildfile: file:///F:/Work/Monster.com/nAnt/src/NAnt.Console/NAnt.Console.build Target(s) specified: build build: BUILD FAILED F:\Work\Monster.com\nAnt\src\NAnt.Console\NAnt.Console.build(12,10): Property 'nant.console.name' has not been set.
