:-) sorry for the echo, I had digest on and did not see your comment. I took a closer look at ant and you are correct they are just wrapping the executables. My confusion came when I was skimming over some inline comments the other day and saw something about using jcvs.
I have taken a stab at the cvs task with sharpcvslib. I have the update and the checkout working from the command line and (some very simple) unit tests. I have created some nant attributes as well however I have not plugged any of it into nant. From what I can see it should fit in with relatively little pain...I hope :->. I was thinking that if things look good and everyone is happy it might make sense to just put it right in rather than starting a separate project? Let me know what you guys think...
