Keep in mind that the mvpmc box is not able to sync digital (AC3?) audio and video. So, if you, for example, pull an ATSC standard definition OTA of, say, a re-run of Green Acers (eew, why did that one come to mind), the audio (w/o transcoding to stereo) *might* be out of sync with the video. Also, it goes w/o saying that the mvpmc box can not handle the amount of data supplied by the back end for high definition recordings.
