<decode-copy> "Esc C" or <decode-save> "Esc s" may help with that. They

Investigating further, the "quoted-printable" started last September.
Same date as a large dnf update including "logcheck" which is the
problem set of emails.
Changed "/etc/logcheck/logcheck.conf" MIMEENCODING to 8bit and thus
far seems to have fixed the problem.
I was also able to "tag" all the many "quoted-printable" messages
since Sept and then use <decode-copy> on the tagged messages and
lastly delete the tagged messages. "like it never happened :)"
