I didnt think of the terminfo yet. i'll give that a look. Its not a 
very big deal. I havent noticed any other things that stopped working.
I changed the \n into \r for now, but i dont know yet if that still
works if i telnet into my server from a remote location. I'll give
that a try soon. Otherwise indeed i think i will have to change the 
xterm entries in the terminfo :)
