When you have time, I'd also like to hear a bit more about the
interference with <next-unread-mailbox> you mentioned in the ticket.

I was thinking about putting it on the www.mutt.org website, with a link called
"sidebar tutorial".

Before I commit anything I  'cd doc; make validate' (and also run
check_sec.sh).  It's possible I misremembered and the tutorial part
didn't have any validation errors.  I did have to fix several errors
though.

Sorry I wasn't very clear.  I meant a new format string that showed "N"
in the sidebar when BUFFY->new.
