Except this conflicts with color attachment brightblue default because the escape codes are passed to $display_filter. Coloring can't be moved after display_filter because that would rely on regex matching rather than mutt's meta-knowledge "I'm printing an Autoview line now..." I ended up with this, which preserves the escape code at the beginning. set display_filter='sed -re '\''s/^([^ ]*|)(\[-- Autoview using [^[:blank:]]* ).*(--\])$/\1\2\3/'\' Thanks, Aron
