The syntax highlighting in the script editor currently recognizes double-quoted and multiline strings ("string" and [[string]]) but not single-quoted ones ('string'), which are also valid in Lua. From a look at the code, it should be a simple addition to THighlighter.cpp: 54 rule.pattern = QRegExp( "'[^']*'" ); 55 rule.format = quotationFormat; 56 highlightingRules.append( rule ); Line numbers from my current version of the source, a git snapshot from 1/25/2012.
