Script errors are causing blank lines in the main console

Bug description:
If your scripts have errors there will be lots of blank spaces
inserted in the main console when using the `development` branch.
Responsible commit for this is
e5b832b4867d947bbf6a954a2253fecca9a2a68d. It seems like it's not
checking if errors should be echoed to the main screen before dropping
a blank line in - I'll submit a PR.
