Hi,

From what I've seen, in a members-only MUC, Owners and Admins can
enter the room as a Moderator, whereas Members can only enter as a
Participant. This works perfectly for my existing needs. Now, however,
I need the ability to have a designated list of people who can enter
the room, but they should enter as Visitors and not gain voice unless
given it by an authorized person. Is there some sort of lesser
affiliation than Member that I can use for this? Or is there a way to
keep the room Members-only but somehow configure it so that certain
Members are not given voice by default when they enter?

In some implementations, it's possible to configure certain members to have a specific role (including moderator or participant, typically). I'd imagine this could be Visitor as well.
