Dear colleagues,

**Apologies for cross-posting**

The Fourth Arabic Natural Language Processing Conference (ArabicNLP 2026)

Co-located with EMNLP 2026 in Budapest, Hungary (October, 2026). (Hybrid
Mode).

Conference URL: https://arabicnlp2026.sigarab.org/
Submission types

ArabicNLP 2026 accepts long papers (up to 8 pages), short papers (up to 4
pages), and demo papers (up to 4 pages). Accepted papers will be allowed
one additional page in their final version to help authors address the
reviewers’ comments. Long and short papers will be presented orally or as
posters as determined by the program committee; presentation mode does not
reflect the quality of the work.

Theme: Towards Inclusive Arabic NLP

Submissions may include work-in-progress or completed research focusing on
Arabic in all its forms—including Modern Standard, Classical, and dialectal
varieties (e.g., Maghrebi, Levantine, Egyptian, Gulf), as well as
code-switched or mixed-language text. We particularly encourage work
addressing under-resourced or historically overlooked varieties,
recognizing that truly inclusive NLP must extend beyond high-resource,
standardized forms to reflect the language's actual diversity. We also
welcome research on related Semitic (e.g., Hebrew, Amharic) or
Arabic-script languages (e.g., Persian, Urdu) that share computational
challenges, alongside descriptions of commercial or deployed systems
provided there is a willingness to share technical details. Finally, we
encourage work that leverages Arabic resources or methodologies to benefit
other languages, broadening the community's impact across related writing
systems and language families.

Topics of interest

We welcome submissions on topics including (but not limited to):

   -

Core Arabic NLP: segmentation/tokenization, morphological &
morphosyntactic analysis/disambiguation, POS tagging, NER, parsing, SRL,
text classification (e.g., sentiment, offensiveness/hate speech), etc.
   -

Machine learning for Arabic: modeling and systems for
generative/discriminative approaches, domain adaptation, transfer learning,
   multilingual/multidialectal learning, evaluation methodology.
   -

Arabic Large Language Models: pretraining, instruction tuning,
   alignment, benchmarking, robustness, fairness, culturally-grounded
   evaluation.
   -

Applications: MT, summarization, dialogue, creative generation/analysis,
ASR/TTS, retrieval, OCR, educational and assistive technologies, social
   media analytics.
   -

Resources & infrastructure: corpora, lexicons/dictionaries, annotation
guidelines, benchmarks, tools supporting Arabic NLP research and deployment.
   -

Ethics & Trust: bias, safety, misinformation, and the responsible
   development of Arabic NLP.

Shared tasks

ArabicNLP typically hosts shared tasks to engage the community; a separate Call
for Shared Task Proposals will be issued soon, and selected tasks will run
as part of the event.
