Generally speaking, if you are having trouble with something like this then
it helps to start a command prompt (it's not actually an "msdos box",
despite MS's stupid choice of icons) and run msp430-insight.exe from the
command line.  That way you can easily see any error messages that turn up,
which can help you (or your friendly mailing list support) identify the
problem.
