Yes - it didn't work (C-Spy could not find the device either).

It could well be static, although it is not cold inside my office (it's
about -10 C outside, though :-). I've had the same problem in the middle of
summer as well.

Is it possible to disable the jtag interface on the mps430? I know this is
possible on the AVR micros with jtag, so if you somehow program the wrong
fuse bit, you can no longer use the jtag interface to clear the bit... Can
something similar happen with the msp430's? I have not yet tried
programming using the BSL link (since I don't yet have the hardware adaptor
for it) - maybe that would still work.

The effect is the same as you might expect if the TDI or TDO pins had
stopped functioning - I can still reset the device with the jtag interface,
but have no other contact. It is certainly possible that static has blown
one of these pins.

mvh.
