I have copied the gdb-5.1.1 source in the insight-5.1.1 dir, I have
configured with --prefix=/usr/local/msp430 --target=msp430 and it is Ok,
the insight code works fine.

It sounds like you didn't copy the gdb patches into the insight
directory correctly. Configure normally works OK when you do. The gdb
patches do not affect any of the files which differentiate insight
from gdb. If you copy the gdb patches into the insight directory all
should be well.

This will not work. That gdb patches currently only work for gdb 5.1.1
or insight 5.1.1.
