Hi,

I am currently building gcc msp430 on my w2k system - after a couple of
false starts, its going fine. However, I notice that the msp430 patches are
for binutils-2.11, while the latest version available is binutils-2.12.4.
For gcc, the latest versions are 3.0.4 and 3.1. How imporant are the
differences? For example, can I use gcc3.04 core, then patch it with the
cvs-downloaded msp430 changes for 3.0 ? I notice that the cvs server has
test versions of msp430 code for gcc 3.1 - there are probably more serious
changes involved between the two major versions. But is it safe to use
minor version changes?
