Hi,
I'm trying the Mozilla 0.9.5 / r18 that is in Debian's
2.3 "Woody" release. IMHO, it's a big improvement
over earlier versions, and I'm starting to think about
switching over to Mozilla as my main browser. But
there's still one "show-stopper":

All of the text-input fields (the location bar and
form text for example) are very slow. There's a long
latency (like 1/4-1/2 second?). Note this is *plain
text widgets*, not anything to do with the web
page editor.

It occurs to me that this behavior may not even be due
to Mozilla, but might have to do with a lower-level
library. I've looked around the Mozilla site and
FAQs, but so far haven't seen anything about this. So
I guess the question is, how does Mozilla do text
widgets? Is this an ".so" like libncurses or
something built into Mozilla? Can I fix this by just
getting or making a different build of Mozilla (or
the shared library)?

Thanks!
