I am the owner of MozES. I'll "merge" with EsMoz if requested; I have not been active on the project at all lately but did recently receive offers from two native Spanish speakers to help if needed, which they are. :) That was during Mozdev's downtime, so I couldn't offer instructions at that point, but it's probably a good thing I waited even until now--now that I'm aware of this other project. I hadn't heard of it before this.
You probably were contacted by Bernardo and Oscar. These other two spanish speakers you had news from are, as me, part of the spanish translation team, "NAVE" (that's why you didn't hear from me before, because there were others getting in contact with you; to be honest, I didn't expect you to be monitoring this newsgroup). :-)
It's not really clear if the goals of EsMoz are coincident with the ones of MozEs. Actually, it's not even clear if the goals of MozEs _or_ EsMoz are exactly what most people wanting to help are looking for.
Alvaro, the maintainer of EsMoz, stated his primary goal seems to be oriented to advocating and promoting Mozilla in spanish. Recently, he posted these points as possible targets of his project:
- Introduction to Mozilla & Mozilla Foundation's history. - Mozilla.org products - Details of QA process - Explanation of the tree and the different builds - Explanation of webtools - Documentation, such as the translation of docs found at http://www.mozilla.org/docs/end-user/ or some of the present at http://www.mozilla.org/catalog/ - Original, new help documentation, showing how to use several features, as well as "that's how I use Mozilla" contributions, etc. - Promoting work done at NAVE - Plugins docs (already done by Alvaro, who is himself a member of Plugindoc project http://plugindoc.mozdev.org/es-ES/ )
My intent was to get the 1.0 start page translated first. In fact, I would have been happy with that, unless others contributed/requested additional documentation.
A member interested in all this stuff is preparing a "Welcome to Mozilla" start page (in spanish) for newcomers to Mozilla:

The page is yet a prototype, as we're discussing ourselves what's we want to do (and everyone seems to have his own idea). :-) Still, there is a bunch of resources translated to spanish, like the 1.4 release notes (http://personales.ya.com/berarma/mozilla/releasenotes1.4/), a short manual to Mozilla 1.3 (http://www.iespana.es/mozilla/), some translations of documents from mozilla.org and mozdev.org (http://www.telecable.es/personales/algarcianet/documentos.html), etc.
So, currently, these are "the most close to mozila.org" resources in spanish regarding Mozilla products:
- NAVE Project: translation of Mozilla products and related add-ons (http://nave.escomposlinux.org/). Includes the associated mailing list (http://www.elistas.net/lista/nave/). - UsuMozilla: a mailing list for spanish speaking users of Mozilla. Kind of a "commmunity meeting point", it was formed when we only knew about EsMoz, and had no news from it (http://es.groups.yahoo.com/group/usumozilla/). - MozEs: your project, devoted to translating to spanish some relevant end-user docs from mozilla.org (am I right?) (http://mozes.mozdev.org/) - EsMoz: Alvaro's project, aimed to promoting and advocating Mozilla products and mozilla.org project to spanish speakers. It seems to include the relase of spanish docs, both translated from mozilla.org and brand new ones. (http://esmoz.mozdev.org/)
IMHO, NAVE falls apart from the rest of the resources. At NAVE, we aim to translate Mozilla products, not docs. Incidentally, though, we write some "technical" docs useful for newcomers to the translation project, such as a Mozilla Translator 5 tutorial. Some members of NAVE are, at the same part, members of UsuMozilla, and could help translating other-than-products material.
That leaves us with two project webpages and three mailing lists, of which the one most active is precisely the one not related to MozDev projects. :-) Also, IMHO, there are a lot of resources that could be moved, copied to, or linked from one of that MozDev projects as soon as the picture goes clear.
What can be done to sort this thing? Maybe Alvaro and you should get in touch, or even both could enter for a few days in NAVE or UsuMozilla mailing lists to discuss the plans. How good is your spanish? :-)
Anyway, the main point is that, whoever gets in charge, is going to do a hard week updating the project with already existent contributions. :-) If you want me to pass your e-mail to Alvaro, or viceversa, don't hesitate to do it.

I'm not bilingual, so I can't help in that area. Sorry. I did write to Netscape feedback via my AOL account asking them how I could remove the old Netscape nomail account and just keep the 7.1 upgrade. When I'm able to do that. I'd like to use Mozilla as my default for my netscape account. I don't know how to go about doing that though. Any suggestions?
