I just wanted to tell pam below to check on teachers pay teachers.... I found
great resources from a teacher who posted a second grade unit that follows Beth
Newingham's outline and she adjusted it for second grade. It is working well
and we are sorting in class, the rest is sent as homework. I agree, phonics
and spelling are separate skills, but they can overlap and transfer with class
practice and differentiation for the groups of students. I have a very wide
range in my grade 2 room this year!RKeeler
