Hi folks, here: https://www.mdpi.com/2227-7390/10/9/1562/pdf you can find a new paper about geodesics in the TPS space Riemannian manifold proposed by our group some years ago. We define an analitical solution for the affine subspace and we show, via optimization methods, the efficacy of TPS geodesics to recover challenging non-affine deformations. These aspects are of particular relevance if one is interested in transporting deformations or finding deformational trajectories (i.e.time series and/or ontogenetic) in the TPS space. Given the hard computational effort we are trying to interface R with python in order ro perform this on more landmarks and dimensions w.r.t. the examples presented in this paper. All the best Paolo
