what are the future prospects of the Log View add-on in view of the
impending push for web extensions?
Come whatever version the actual deadline will be on Android, the add-on
might or might not still run on Nightly/Aurora [1], but
- AMO will eventually stop hosting non-Web-Extensions add-ons
- it'll definitively won't run on Beta/Release
It would be sad to loose the capability of this add-on, since guiding
people to simply install the add-on is much simpler than potentially
having to instruct them on how to get ADB running, which is probably
even more true for Beta or Release users. Also, the add-on doesn't
require having to have a computer ready to dump the logs, which can be
useful in getting logs for issues that are hard to reproduce.

[1] There are some statements floating around to the effect that only
Beta/Release will enforce the ban of anything
non-Webextension/non-System-Addon.
