Hi friends, Happy (day after) merge day! Here's another update to highlight the things to Android team is going to be focused on for the next 6 weeks.
This time around, a big theme is going to be a continued focus on our home panels, including improving the experience to save and recall pages, as well as experimenting with ways to help users discover new content. - Bookmark management (https://bugzil.la/1232437) - Move recent tabs into the history panel (https://bugzil.la/1251362) - Exclude desktop (or other non-local) history from top sites ( https://bugzil.la/1265516) - Update top sites panel grid to use icons instead of thumbnails ( https://bugzil.la/1052933) - Improve site icons (https://bugzil.la/1265712) - Prototype location-based discovery (https://bugzil.la/1258508) We are also full steam ahead on improvements to our core telemetry ping, including a more robust system to re-try failed uploads ( https://bugzil.la/1243585) and sending session/usage data ( https://bugzil.la/1243595).
