Following our branching model, the v2.x branch was just created: https://github.com/mozilla/firefox-ios/tree/v2.x
master is now for work that will ship as v3.0. The README and version numbers have already been updated. I just filed Bug 1247385 to make sure we have target milestones, tracking flags, and affected flags for v2.0-v4.0. Work landing on master should now have Target Milestone set to 3.0.
