On Vector, run vasm : # vasm Navigate to install LILO (Filesystem > LILO > MBR > Next > standard > Next > OK ...). It should detect your Windows partition automagically. You will probably have to edit /etc/lilo.conf with: . . image = /boot/vmlinuz *initrd = /boot/initrd* root = /dev/sdX . . as it fails to detect the initrd. This is typical in Slackware, as the default Slackware kernel (denoted as huge) does not need an initrd, but it appears that the kernel is Vector is "generic" and would need an initrd - otherwise why did they include it. Then: # lilo -v Be prepared to boot with a LIveCD if it fails to work. If you would like another similar distro, you can look for others with an elegant XFCE customisation. Sabayon comes to my mind but I never tried it. There are many others: Zenwalk, Xubuntu, Salix ... Have Fun Chris
