The future of any project is uncertain when a company is eaten up by another
company. With open source, users have the option of forking the project,
which is what happened with OOo. At present I imagine there's not much
difference between LibreOffice and OpenOffice. We'll see what the future
brings.

OOo allows users to tell suppliers to go fork themselves.
