Dear NISCO Member, The next NISCO session will take place on Friday, 2nd July, 0900 hrs at the Mediterranean Conference Centre. Titled, Future Internet – Public Private Partnership, this session will discuss the initiatives taken at the European Commission and Member State level to address the challenges and opportunities of the pervasive use of the Internet at societal and economic level. Specific projects are being coordinated to address the growth of the Internet, with the EC launching a Call for Proposals for the funding of projects that research and test new platforms and applications used by consumers, businesses and civic society. The keynote presentation will be delivered by Peter Fatelnig, Task Force Leader Future Internet PPP, DG Information Society (EC). Attached is a short background of the Future Internet PPP initiative that will be launched by the EC in July.
